Recognise the pattern
A trail has three cards of one rank. In the cited classic ranking, it is the strongest category.
Read the example
The cards above are an illustration of the pattern, not a dealt hand or a forecast. Say the rank aloud before comparing it with another trail.
A practice question
Write two different matching-rank groups on paper. Identify their common category before asking which rank decides the comparison.
Keep scope clear
The comparison tool uses ordinary 52-card hands without jokers. Do not apply its answer directly to a wildcard variant.
